Newly created Stone Circle Stanstead Quebec

As a result of lots of planning, heavy equipment, and the donation of many huge granite stones...... Stanstead, Quebec has its own Stonehenge. A place to gather, to meditate, or just admire the beauty. The stone in the foreground is in line with the sun rise at the Autumn Equinox.

In numerology, yesterday, Sept 9, 2009 was considered a very special day. I attended a meditation in the morning and we were told of a area close by where someone is arranging to create a "stone circle". I though given the significance of day I would go and look for it. By the time I got there, the sun was in the wrong place for good photographs, and many of the shots did not turn out well. I turned this one into black and white......can you see the "energy",.... even over the tree line.

We had an unexpected guest at a party.....

A lot of family and friends got together last night for a summer visit. Just before we were ready to eat, the hostess shouted, "come quickly, and look out the window!". A young Heron had arrived at the gathering, but decided to perch on the cars outside rather than come in. I did not have my "heron" lens with me, but a picture is better than no picture at all, so I started snapping away. As you can see, they were not very good. It was going to be necessary to get closer. I went outside and quietly approached the cars.... the bird did not seem in a hurry to leave. He posed several times, then got bored and decided to leave for better food.
